Why Zividax Moved Media Storage to Amazon S3: Building a Faster, More Reliable Platform
June 7, 2026
At Zividax, our goal has always been simple: provide a fast, reliable, and scalable social platform that continues to grow with our community.
As more users joined Zividax and began sharing photos, videos, profile pictures, voice notes, and other media, we identified an important technical challenge that needed to be addressed.
The Challenge
Originally, uploaded media files were stored directly on the same servers that handled the core Zividax platform.
While this approach worked during the early stages of growth, it created several limitations as media uploads increased:
- Higher server load during peak traffic
- Slower upload and download speeds
- Increased storage pressure on application servers
- Longer backup and maintenance times
- Reduced scalability for future growth
- Potential performance impacts during large media uploads
Simply put, storing both the platform and all user media on the same infrastructure was no longer the best long-term solution.
Our Solution: Amazon S3 Cloud Storage
To improve performance and reliability, Zividax has migrated media storage to Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service), one of the world's most trusted cloud storage platforms.
Amazon S3 is used by companies, startups, and enterprises globally to store and deliver billions of files securely and efficiently.
With this upgrade, uploaded media such as:
- Profile Photos
- Cover Photos
- Images
- Videos
- Audio Files
- Voice Notes
- Documents
- Attachments
are now stored separately from our main application servers.
Benefits for Users
Faster Uploads
Files can now be uploaded directly to dedicated cloud storage infrastructure designed specifically for handling large volumes of media.
Improved Reliability
Separating media from application servers helps reduce the risk of storage-related performance issues.
Better Scalability
As the Zividax community grows, Amazon S3 allows us to expand storage capacity without affecting platform performance.
Enhanced Availability
Cloud-based storage provides greater redundancy and availability, helping ensure that media remains accessible even during periods of high traffic.
Strong Security
Media transfers continue to be protected using secure HTTPS/TLS encryption, while Amazon's infrastructure provides additional layers of protection and reliability.
Why We Updated Our Privacy Policy
Transparency is important.
Because user-uploaded media is now stored using Amazon S3 cloud infrastructure, we updated our Privacy Policy to clearly explain:
- Where media files are stored
- How media is delivered
- What types of content are affected
- Data retention practices
- Security protections in place
This update ensures users have accurate information about how their content is managed.
Looking Ahead
This migration represents another step in Zividax's commitment to building a modern, scalable platform prepared for future growth.
Our focus remains on:
- Better performance
- Stronger reliability
- Greater transparency
- Improved user experience
As Zividax continues to evolve, we'll keep investing in infrastructure that helps deliver a faster and more dependable experience for everyone.
Thank you for being part of the Zividax community.

after that news, Imiditae came here. Why does Zividax use AWS while their parent company, Rx4Store, provides unlimited cloud storage, web hosting, and their FireDrive service has no limit to uploads? I don't understand.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the question.
DeleteWhile Rx4Store provides hosting infrastructure, cloud services, and FireDrive storage, the decision to use Amazon S3 for Zividax media storage was based on technical architecture, scalability, and performance requirements rather than storage limits alone.
Storage capacity is only one part of running a large social platform. Zividax handles profile photos, posts, images, videos, audio files, and other media that require highly optimized object storage, global delivery, redundancy, and automated scaling.
Amazon S3 was selected because it offers:
• Dedicated object storage designed specifically for large-scale media delivery.
• High durability and redundancy across multiple systems.
• Better separation between application servers and user media.
• Improved upload reliability during peak traffic.
• Easier scalability as the platform grows.
• Integration with CDN and caching systems for faster media loading.
FireDrive remains an important product within the Rx4Store ecosystem and is designed for personal cloud storage. Zividax, however, has different infrastructure requirements as a real-time social platform serving media content to many users simultaneously.
This change was made to improve reliability, performance, and long-term scalability for the Zividax community. It is not because Rx4Store lacks storage capacity, but because different products often require different technical solutions to deliver the best user experience.
We appreciate the feedback and are always happy to explain the technology decisions behind platform improvements.
zividax is sometime give very fast service and sometime very slow they need to upgrade
