Understanding the Difference: Locked Content Profiles vs. Private Content Profiles
Your guide to privacy and monetization on Zividax
At Zividax, your privacy and control over your content are our top priorities. However, as our platform grows, we notice users often confuse two distinct types of accounts: Locked Content Profiles and Private Content Profiles.
While both offer a barrier between you and the public, they serve two very different purposes. Whether you are a creator looking to monetize your work or a user seeking total seclusion, here is everything you need to know about how these profiles work.
1. Locked Content Profile (The Creator/Monetization Model)
A Locked Content Profile is designed specifically for creators who are actively monetizing their content. This is not just a privacy setting; it is a business tool.
- How it works: If a creator has a Locked Profile, their premium content is hidden behind a paywall. You cannot view these specific posts just by following them.
- Access: To view the content, you must subscribe to the creator. This usually involves paying a fee that the creator has set themselves.
- The Goal: This model allows creators to earn money directly from their audience by offering exclusive videos, photos, or posts to paying subscribers only.
In short: If you see a Locked Profile, you are looking at a storefront. You can see the creator, but you must "buy a ticket" (subscribe) to see the show.
2. Private Content Profile (The Personal Privacy Model)
A Private Content Profile is a setting generally chosen by standard users who want to keep their personal life away from the public eye. This is about social privacy, not monetization.
- How it works: When your profile is private, only the people you approve as followers can see your posts and profile details. The general public (or people you don't know) cannot see your content.
- The Process: If a stranger wants to see your profile, they cannot view it immediately. They must send a Follow Request. You then have the power to decide:
- If you accept the request, they become a follower and can see your profile.
- If you ignore or decline the request, they are blocked from seeing your content.
- The Goal: This model keeps your life exclusive to friends, family, or trusted individuals.
In short: If you see a Private Profile, you are looking at a closed door. You must knock (send a request) and wait for the owner to let you in.
Uncompromised Security & Privacy
Whether you choose a Locked or Private profile, Zividax treats your data with the highest level of security.
We understand that privacy is fragile in the modern digital age. That is why we have built a fortress around your data. No in-app AI models—including Ava or Nyzo—are allowed to access or scrape data from Locked or Private profiles.
If you care about strong privacy, our system ensures that your content remains strictly between you and your approved audience or subscribers.
How to Turn On a Private Profile (Simple Steps)
Taking control of your privacy is easy. If you want to switch your account to a Private Profile, simply follow these steps:
- Go to zividax.uk or open the Zividax App.
- Navigate to My Profile.
- Select Profile Settings.
- Tap on Account Privacy Settings.
From here, you have full control over your visibility. You can customize the following:
- Who can see my profile & posts?
- Who can follow me?
- Who can direct message me?
- Show your profile in search engines? (Toggle this off to remain hidden from Google/Bing)
- Who can see when I'm online?
